Roasting
We roast each coffee only after an order is placed.
Green coffee is prepared in small batches,
and roasting is completed within three business days of purchase.
Once roasted, the coffee is shipped on the same day.
This approach allows us to preserve freshness
and respond to the character of each individual lot.
Whole Beans Only
To maintain quality and stability during transit,
all coffees are shipped as whole beans.
Grinding immediately before brewing ensures
the clearest expression of aroma and flavor.
Green Bean Weight & Roast Loss
Product weights listed on this site refer to green (unroasted) coffee beans.
During roasting, moisture naturally evaporates,
resulting in a reduction in final weight.
As a general reference:

Roasting is not a mechanical repetition.
Heat is adjusted by the roaster in response to aroma, sound, color,
and the behavior of the coffee itself.
For this reason, final weight may vary slightly between batches,
even for the same coffee.
On Consistency
Our goal is not uniformity,
but the faithful expression of each coffee at its best.
We believe that small variations are not flaws,
but signs that the coffee has been handled with attention rather than automation.
Shipping
For orders totaling less than ¥5,000 (including tax), a domestic Japan shipping fee of ¥1,000 (including tax) will be charged.
For orders of ¥5,000 or more, domestic Japan shipping is free.
For international orders, a flat shipping fee of ¥2,500 per package will be applied.
